Berlin Model Basin

Berlin Model Basin (Versuchsanstalt für Wasserbau) is used as a space to experiment with hydrodynamics and environmental and navigational engineering. It houses basins of deep and shallow water, each 120 meters long, where waves are intentionally generated at a certain frequency, height and amplitude. Every ocean phenomena in the world can be reproduced inside it. The architecture is generated by, and is designed around, the movement and the fluidity of water.
